Album „Weegee” was created as an aftermath of a photo exhibition at the National Museum in 2009. Arthur Felling known to the world under the name Weegee shows the brutal realities of New York nightlife at 30’s and 40’s of XX c. Weegee was seekind for inspiration by listening to police’s radio waves. It is how he gain information about places of crimes, theft and misdemeanors. In one of interviews, Weegee admits „I have no inhibitions, just like my camera.” The set of 200 pictures is a shocking dose of journalistic photography on international ground. Photos from the private collection of Hendrik Berinson been issued by the Foundation of Visual Arts.
